Thank you for working with Artist Development Company ("ADC," "we," "us"). We are a small Carmel, Indiana company that works with band members, booked artists, and the students and families of B Sharp. This page explains in plain English what information we collect, how we use it, and how our text messaging works.
Part A - SMS Text Messaging Terms
1. Who we text
We text only people who already work with us. That means band members, booked artists, and B Sharp students and families who have given us permission to text them. We do not text the general public, and we do not buy or rent phone lists.
2. What messages you will get
Texts come from our company number, (317) 434-1042, and may include:
• Answers to your questions, when you text or call us.
• Follow-up texts from our answering service after you call, for example "We got your message and will call you back."
• Reminders and updates about gigs, rehearsals, lessons, and appointments: dates, times, call times, locations, and schedule changes. We may ask you to reply to confirm (for example, "Reply RECEIVED to confirm").
We never send marketing or promotional texts from this number.
3. How you opt in
We text you only after you agree to it, in two steps:
• Out loud first: when you book or enroll, in person or by phone at (317) 434-1042 or (317) 447-9872, an ADC team member reads you our text-message script and asks if it's OK to text you. We write down the date, time, and who took your answer. You can read the full script at artistdevelopmentcompany.com/sms-consent.
• Then in writing: the same day, we email you from info@artistdevelopmentcompany.com with the same details. Reply YES to confirm. We keep your YES as our record, and we send no texts until we have it.
Agreeing to texts is never required to work with us, take lessons, or be booked.
4. How often
How often we text depends on your schedule. Most people get up to about 10 messages a month for each gig or booking, plus lesson or appointment reminders and replies to your own questions.
5. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. ADC does not charge for texts, but your mobile carrier's normal rates apply.
6. How to stop or get help
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will get one final text confirming that you are unsubscribed, and then no more texts unless you opt back in. You can also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.
• To opt back in, reply START or UNSTOP, or tell us you would like texts again.
• Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@artistdevelopmentcompany.com or (317) 434-1042.
7. Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Your mobile information stays private
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Part B - Privacy Policy
1. Information we collect
• Contact details: name, phone number, email, and mailing address.
• Work and lesson details: gig and booking information, rehearsal and lesson schedules, availability, and the notes we need to serve you. For B Sharp students who are minors, this includes parent or guardian contact information.
• Messages: texts, voicemails, emails, and notes from our answering service.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processors. We do not store full card numbers.
• Website information: basic data our website host collects automatically, such as browser type, pages visited, and cookies.
2. How we use it
We use your information to schedule and run gigs, bookings, lessons, and appointments; to answer your questions; to send reminders and updates; to pay or bill you; to keep our records; and to meet legal requirements.
3. We do not sell your information
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with:
• People you would expect, such as a venue or event contact who needs the details of a booking you are part of.
• Service providers who help us run the business, such as our phone and texting provider, answering service, scheduling software, payment processor, and website host. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.
None of this sharing includes your SMS opt-in data or consent (see Part A, section 8).
4. How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to the people who need it. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
5. Children
B Sharp serves students of all ages. For students under 18, we collect information from and communicate with a parent or guardian. Our website is not directed to children under 13.
6. Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete your information, or to stop texts or emails. Email info@artistdevelopmentcompany.com.
7. Changes
If we update this page, we will change the effective date above.
